When a decree orders the death of every newborn, one child survives. Hunted from his first breath, Vynelor is chased into the wilderness and is raised by a scarred outcast. Then raised by a ruler with secrets of her own, he learns the truth of his origins. But can he really return home, or has he already become something more?
